CONCRETE

 

One day my husband had some leftover cement from a house project and gave it to me to play with. That was the beginning of my love for concrete. For two years,  I taught myself concrete sculpture, making lots of mistakes and taking lots of risks with the material. I am in my 15th year of sculpting in concrete, and still not exhausted of its wonders. My sculptures can be left outside year-round. Each sculpture is unique because they are not made in molds, and each one is intensely hand formed. I like creating  both life-size sculptures and small sizes.
